High Noon at the Strunz pit! Two workers fight over a lump of strontianite, the white gold of the sugar industry. The mine owner forces them back to work with a drawn gun – class struggle as a Western stand-off. When the village schoolman’s wife also arrives at the mine with two maids, it becomes clear that they have their very own scores to settle with the three men. A short film western about the North German gold rush – historically correct in Platt.
Dominic Stermann
Dominic Stermann (*1991 in Hamburg) studied German Languages and Literature as well as Art in Bremen; trained as a stone sculptor; director and assistant director of film and theatre productions; together with Nikos Saul, Henning Wirtz and Hein Köhler he founded the award-winning film collective “wenndienaturnichwill”, which has produced various short films since 2012. Their most recent Shortfilm Dick Around is part of the official Selection of Nordic Film Days Lübeck in 2022.

The cutting down of a cherry tree becomes the starting point for an intimate dialogue about transgenerational trauma between mother and daughter. The line between the need for investigation and the desire for healing becomes blurry when a persistent camera depicts the felling of the tree.
Silke Schönfeld
Silke Schönfeld (*1988, DE) studied fine arts at the University of Fine Arts Münster and the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. Her works have been shown internationally in solo exhibitions at KIT – Kunst im Tunnel, Düsseldorf (DE), 2021, Concordia, Enschede (NL), 2022. and in numerous group shows including at Folkwang Museum, Essen (DE), as part of Ruhr Ding: Klima, Herne (DE), at Goethe Institut Paris (FR), at Building Bridges Art Exchange, Santa Monica (US) and at 2000 Off Space, Jerusalem (IL). Silke Schönfeld was a resident at Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten Amsterdam (NL), 2020-2022. She lives and works in Amsterdam (NL) and Dortmund (DE).

Klara stands alone in a clearing looking for her child. The young mother sets off in search and is pulled into the dark forest. Restless and guided by the calls of her child, she enters deeper into nature and thus into the depths of her subconsciousness. Accompanied by the uneasy certainty of a terrible truth, she wanders on the borderline between reality and dream. A story about loss, the gap between hope and repression, and the acceptance of traumatic truths.
Tim Klinger
Tim Klinger is a German filmmaker who grew up in the small city of Koblenz between the Rhine and Moselle rivers. He made his first short films with friends already at a young age, and after graduating from high school and training as a media designer for image and sound, he studied film at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts to specialise in directing and production. After his study abroad at the Willem de Kooning Academy Rotterdam (NL), he is currently working on his graduation film.

During demo tape recordings of their band, Sara and Marie have to realize that their dream casts a shadow on their friendship. The graduation film at the FH Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts explores the question of what friendship can withstand and how we deal with the changes in the people we call our best friends.
Robert Marx
Robert Marx was able to gain experience in the theater at an early age. First he started as a performer in the theater Narrenschiff in Unna. There he began to support various musicals through video productions. In 2015 he made his first short film Premium and since 2016 Robert has been studying Film & Sound at the FH Dortmund. In the course of his studies, Robert participated in several short films and documentaries.

Germany 2022 – 03:15 min – Director: Alissa Sophie Larkamp & Emma-Mathilda Lipphaus
In this experimental film, the protagonists turn diffusion around. They take shapes that are theirs, colors that are theirs, and decorate supposed blemishes as the unique places they are. Then something happens. “I have never looked at this part of my body so long and so lovingly.”
Alissa Sophie Larkamp & Emma-Mathilda Lipphaus
Alissa Sophie Larkamp first studied political science and media studies and ultimately completed her master’s degree in media studies at the Ruhr University in Bochum. Since then she has worked several times as a cinematographer and editor for several feature films and short films. She is currently studying Film & Sound at the FH Dortmund.
Emma-Mathilda Lipphaus has been studying Film&Sound at the FH Dortmund since 2018. Further, she works as a media educator, where she accompanies youth groups in the realization of socio-political short films. She also writes, produces and realizes her own cinematic projects, such as Os·mo·sis or All the Garden Gnomes.

A woman gets into a stranger’s car at night, casually and voluntarily. But soon she begins to suspect the dangerous situation she might find herself in. The film raises the questions: Where does sexual harassment begin? How do we try to stay safe? How does the discrepancy between intention and interpretation arise?
Niklas Bauer
Niklas Bauer was born in Saarland in 1995. After a few years of working on various film sets, Niklas began his Motion Pictures studies in Darmstadt in 2016, which he completed in 2020 with a Bachelor’s degree and his graduation film A Day in the Life of a Boy. He then began his Master’s degree in Film at the FH Dortmund University of Applied Sciences and Arts, which he completed in 2022. Today he works as a freelance filmmaker.
